It’s the end of the world, and I feel fine

Yet another end of the world prediction has come and gone and I remain. Either I am more adept at survival than John McCane against against and army of bad guys or these “end times” are getting out of hand.

It’s interesting to watch how people react to predictions of the end. Many continue on with a carefully mastered indifference while others live in fear of what may come. I am not a fan of the predictions of the end, especially ones claiming to have Biblical support. What I do promote is living with the end in mind.

So often we focus on the day to day affairs of our lives we forget that this is not the end all be all of our existence. There is more to come. Rather than dedicating ourselves to the hotel we are staying in, we out to prepare for our home.

What does this look like? I looks like living ready for the return of our King. Life is short. There are so many things out of our control. In fact one of the only things in this world we truly can control is ourselves.

So rather than living in a state of indifference or of fear, what would it look like if we lived ready, were ready? What would it looked like if we lived every moment of every day as if Jesus was coming back? What would you do differently?
